Simple wellness that fits into real life

You don’t need another complicated routine. You don’t need another hour-long appointment. And you don’t always need another strenuous workout.

Our recovery modalities make it easier to fit wellness into a busy schedule. You may choose one modality by itself, or add it to another Elevate service, such as full-body red light therapy, H-Wave, LIMFA therapy, NanoVi, BioCharger or our Strength & Balance program. Think of these modalities as simple tools that help round out your wellness routine.

Elevate isn’t a traditional spa, and it isn’t simply a gym. It’s a recovery spa in St. Louis that brings multiple modern wellness technologies together under one roof, so you can build a routine that actually fits your goals and your life.

PureWave PEMF: full-body pulsed electromagnetic field wellness

PureWave PEMF provides a passive, full-body wellness experience using pulsed electromagnetic fields. You relax on a full-body PEMF mat while the system delivers programmed electromagnetic frequency patterns. A session takes about 10 minutes.

PEMF stands for pulsed electromagnetic field. An electromagnetic field is created when electrical energy generates a magnetic field, and PEMF systems deliver these fields in pulses or programmed patterns.

One of the appealing things about PEMF is how easy the session is. You simply lie down and relax. There’s no workout required, no needles, no injections, no massage therapist and no electrodes attached to the body.

Some people report feeling deeply relaxed during PEMF sessions. Others may feel little or nothing physically while the program runs. Individual experiences vary.

PureWave PEMF for relaxation and recovery

For people who constantly feel busy, stimulated or mentally “on,” lying quietly during a PEMF session can provide an intentional pause. That can make PureWave especially attractive if you’re interested in relaxation, stress wellness or mind-body wellness.

Active adults may also add PEMF to recovery routines around strength training, golf, pickleball, running, cycling or hiking. PEMF has become a major technology within biohacking communities, and PureWave offers a passive experience that can easily fit into a broader wellness routine, including a healthy-aging lifestyle. PEMF should be viewed as a supportive wellness tool rather than a substitute for rest, nutrition, movement or appropriate medical care.

PureWave isn’t the same as LIMFA, which uses complex PEMF with proprietary signal sequences. If you’re exploring PEMF therapy more broadly, learn about LIMFA complex PEMF therapy. And unlike BioCharger, which combines PEMF with light, frequencies and harmonics, and pulsed electric fields, PureWave focuses directly on PEMF.

Whole-body vibration: a quick way to add movement to your wellness routine

Whole-body vibration uses a vibration plate that creates rapid mechanical vibrations while you stand or perform simple movements on the platform. Those vibrations cause your muscles to repeatedly contract and relax as your body responds to the moving platform. Depending on your stance and how the plate is used, that may involve your legs, glutes, core, and stabilizing and postural muscles.

Sessions can be simple. You don’t need to perform a difficult workout. For many clients, even simply standing appropriately on the platform creates a noticeable physical stimulus.

The platform moves rapidly underneath your feet, and you may feel the vibration through your feet, legs, hips, core and upper body. Intensity depends on the machine setting, your body position and stance, and session length. The experience is usually short and easy to add to another wellness service.

Why people use whole-body vibration

One of the biggest benefits of whole-body vibration from a wellness perspective is simple: it gets the body moving. Modern adults spend a great deal of time sitting, and a vibration plate can provide a quick movement stimulus without requiring a full workout. That makes it popular with people interested in muscle activation, warm-ups, balance and active aging.

It shouldn’t replace strength training, walking, balance training or regular exercise. Instead, it’s an additional movement tool that can complement those activities. The goal isn’t to create exhaustion. The goal is to keep moving. For vibration plate training as part of an active-aging fitness routine, explore our Strength & Balance program.

Pairing it with red light is also one of the easiest combinations at Elevate: clients may use full-body red light therapy followed by whole-body vibration. Red light uses red and near-infrared wavelengths, and vibration uses mechanical movement. Together, they can create an easy Relax + Move combination.

Which recovery modality should I choose?

Not sure where to start? Here’s an easy way to think about it.

  • Choose PureWave PEMF if you want full-body PEMF, passive relaxation and recovery support, or you’re curious about biohacking.

  • Choose whole-body vibration if you want movement, muscle activation, a quick physical stimulus or something to add after red light.

You don’t necessarily have to choose only one. Your routine might look like this: recharge with PureWave PEMF, then move with whole-body vibration.

PureWave PEMF is available at both of our St. Louis-area studios: Ballwin, in West County, and Sunset Hills, in South County. Send us a message and we’ll help you find the right starting point.
